The DES Policy is an important intervention coverage initiated by the Economic Regulation Division of the NEA to deal with the unstable supply of electrical energy to cities outside the three primary grids in PNG, technically referred to as C-centres. The coverage discussions held in the course of the workshop included the Provincial Administrators, District Administrators, financiers/developers, policy specialists, engineers, and different relevant consultants. Giving a detailed presentation on the DES Policy was Ms. Bayking Juliette of USAID PEP, with her group giving an outline of the coverage.
